history
Kairos The Celebration Barn provides a unique place to celebrate special occasions. The structure was designed and built over a century ago during the 1850s and once stood on a hillside in Ohio serving the owners as a working barn, livestock shelter and, in keeping with Amish tradition, a spiritual meeting place. When the usefulness of the structure faded and fell into disrepair, the barn caught the attention of a Fredericksburg woodworking artisan, Robert Feuge. He shared this rare treasure with friends, David and Beth Hughes, as well as architects, Joe and Gail Adams. The plans to move the barn to Fredericksburg began and has now become the reality of Kairos The Celebration Barn. The barn’s hand-hewn oak timbers are surrounded by a modern structure studded with limestone rock that is characteristic of the Texas Hill Country. The structure has won regional and national architectural awards for design and innovation. Joe & Sharon Grimes, were brought in to share the vision and have provided needed management experience in the hospitality industry to ensure the operations reflect a spirit of excellence in customer service and hospitality.
